Paramedic Field Internship

Catalog description

Students will perform as a paramedic on an advanced life support ambulance under the direct supervision of a licensed paramedic preceptor. Students will be expected to manage all aspects of a prehospital incident including scene management, patient assessment and patient management. Students will complete all field hours and competencies required for National Registry certification and Missouri state licensure as a paramedic. Evening and/or weekend classes may be required. Fee Information: Lab fee may be required. Prerequisite: Admission to paramedic cohort. Paramedic Program Director approval.
