Catalog description

Students will be taught principles of pharmacology including medication safety, legislation, nomenclature, classifications, schedules, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, storage and security, autonomic pharmacology, metabolism and excretion, mechanism of action, phases of medication activity, medication response relationships, medication interactions, and toxicity. Prerequisite: Admission to paramedic cohort. Paramedic Program Director approval.
