Catalog description

This course is the lecture component of the Emergency Medical Technician program. Topics covered include foundations of profession, Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Care, Trauma Care, working with special patient populations, and EMS operations. Successful completion of this courses along with EMT lab and EMT clinical course meets the requirements to apply for registration with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
