This course introduces students to current trends in gerontological nursing, developmental stages, age-related physiological and psychological changes alongside associated assessment findings. Nursing care is focused on the recognition and management of acute and chronic illnesses/situations that commonly occur in the older adult population. Prerequisite: Admission to Nursing Program.
