Catalog description

This course introduces nursing students to the nursing process and the clinical judgment measurement model. Students begin to develop clinical reasoning and judgment skills involved in patient care. Students learn to apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions, care across the lifespan, and other core concepts fundamental to nursing. Concepts fundamental to nursing include topics on hygiene, comfort, assistance with activities of daily living, safe patient handling, pain, wound care, asepsis, and sterile technique.
