Music Business Practicum

Catalog description
This is a dynamic, hands-on practicum where students immediately apply entrepreneurial principles to real-world music projects. You’ll work directly with our on-campus label, PUSH Records, to manage artists and gain experience in live event production, including planning and executing the Lindenwoodstock music festival. The course focuses on developing comprehensive marketing strategies, securing sponsorships, and mastering the professional skills necessary for success in the music industry. This course must be completed twice (for a total of 2 credit hours) in order to complete the Music Business & Entrepreneurship emphasis. Repeatable: May be repeated for a maximum of 12 credit hours. Prerequisite: Approval of instructor and dean.
