Catalog description

This course provides undergraduates with an opportunity to perform research in pure or applied mathematics. Under the supervision of a faculty member, a student will independently study a chosen area of mathematics. Students are expected to explore significant problems in their topic, draw conclusions, and, if applicable, identify real world applications to their work. Fee Information: Lab fee may be required. Repeatable: May be repeated for a maximum of 9 credit hours. Prerequisite: Permission of the dean.
