Catalog description

This course examines the evolving role of technology in fitness, wellness, and human performance. Students will explore biometric devices, wearables, mobile apps, and digital platforms used to monitor training, recovery, and health. Emphasis is placed on tools for reducing injury risk, supporting recovery, and tracking performance, such as load monitoring, motion analysis, and sleep or stress trackers. Students will assess effectiveness, interpret data for evidence-based decisions, and consider ethical and privacy issues. Designed for coaches, trainers, and wellness professionals, the course develops applied skills to leverage technology for performance, injury prevention, and long-term wellness.
