This course introduces students to various healthcare professions. It introduces professional roles and explores the identity, values, and standards that define healthcare professional practice. Students are exposed to the history and trends in professional healthcare and related caring professions. Topics include: healthcare roles/responsibilities, development of critical thinking, interprofessional communication, information/technology literacy, and delivery of professional healthcare.
