Catalog description

This course will explore the history of the United States from 1945 to 1990. It will focus not only on the expanding conflict with the Soviet Union but also with domestic developments during the post-World War II period. Topics will include the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the Civil Rights Movement, the Arms and Space Races, the Great Society and the fall of the U.S.S.R. Prerequisite: ENGL 17000 with a C or better; junior standing.
