Adapted Physical Education

Catalog description

The outcome of this course is to produce an individual who is capable of teaching students with various disabilities who are integrated into regular physical education classes. The individual will also have the knowledge to provide an adapted physical education program for more severely disabled students in an appropriate atmosphere. This will be accomplished by requiring appropriate modifications for activities. Inclusion methods, philosophies, and community based opportunities are offered and discussed. Prerequisite: ENGL 17000 .
