Catalog description

This course provides an exploration of Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI) with a strong emphasis on advanced remote sensing applications, spatial machine learning, and deep learning workflows. Building on foundational GIS and remote sensing knowledge, students investigate how AI‑driven methods are transforming the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of spatial data across local to global scales. The course integrates conceptual frameworks, ethical considerations, and hands‑on technical practice using industry‑standard platforms such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Python‑based APIs, with particular emphasis on cloud‑scale and high‑resolution imagery analysis. Prerequisite: GEO 20400 .
