Catalog description
This course surveys the area of risk and insurance and examines the concepts of risk, the nature of the insurance device, and the principles of risk management. Life insurance, health insurance, property and liability insurance, and social insurance are treated in terms of their relationship to the wide range of insurable risks to which the individual and the business firm are exposed. Prerequisite: ENGL 17000 with a C or better; One of the following math courses: MTH 14100 , MTH 14200 , MTH 15100 , MTH 15200 , MTH 17300 , MTH 27100 , or MTH 27200 .
