Exercise Testing and Prescription

Catalog description

This course integrates the scientific foundations of exercise testing with the principles of exercise prescription. Students will learn the theoretical approach to laboratory and field assessments of key physical fitness components as well as explore the underlying principles and models of exercise prescription. Emphasis will be placed on translating assessment results into practical and individualized fitness programs, targeting health, wellness, and athletic performance. Prerequisite: EXS 20100 ; EXS 20200 . Corequisite: EXS 38800 .
