-3 This course provides undergraduates with an opportunity to perform research under the supervision of a faculty member in an Exercise Science-related area. Students are expected to learn common assessment techniques used in Exercise Science research, assist with other ongoing projects and develop a research proposal for their own project. Each credit hour requires approximately 50 hours of contact throughout the semester. The number of enrolled hours must be discussed and agreed upon with the instructor prior to enrollment. Repeatable: May be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: EXS 27500 and MTH 14100 with a C or better; overall 3.0 GPA or higher; permission of instructor; reliable transportation to and from the main LU campus and other sites of data collection across the greater St. Louis metro area.
