This intensive on-ground summer residency is a cornerstone experience in the EdD program, designed to support doctoral candidates in advancing their dissertation work with a primary focus on developing a comprehensive and critical literature review. Through a combination of faculty-led workshops, peer collaboration, and individualized mentoring, students will refine their research questions, deepen their understanding of scholarly writing conventions, and synthesize existing research to establish a strong foundation for their dissertation. In addition to literature review development, the course will address program-specific content tailored to the evolving needs of the cohort and current trends in education. Topics may include equity in education, leadership in diverse contexts, data-informed decision-making, and emerging methodologies in educational research. Students will engage in reflective practice, scholarly dialogue, and strategic planning to align their dissertation progress with program milestones. By the end of the residency, students will have made significant progress on their literature review chapter and will leave with a clear roadmap for the next phase of their dissertation journey. Fee Information: Lab fee required. The course will have a $125 lab fee assigned. Prerequisite: EDA 76900 ; EILC 71000 ; EILC 71200 ; EILC 71400 .
