Catalog description

Perspectives on Teaching & Learning explores the complex, interconnected ecosystem of education through the diverse viewpoints of students, teachers, administrators, families, policymakers, and community members. This course provides EdD candidates with a comprehensive understanding of how teaching and learning are shaped by institutional contexts, cultural values, and stakeholder priorities across public and private K-12 schools, higher education, and the community. Students will critically examine how different educational philosophies, policies, and practices influence learning experiences and outcomes. Through case studies, reflective inquiry, and collaborative dialogue, students will develop a nuanced perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing educators and learners in today’s dynamic educational landscape.
