Catalog description

Leader, Change Maker is a practice-oriented course designed to empower educational leaders to navigate and lead transformative change in complex, real-world settings. Rooted in applied leadership theory and change management frameworks, this course prepares EdD candidates to become visionary change agents who can drive equity-centered, sustainable improvements in schools, districts, and educational organizations. Students will explore the interplay between leadership identity, organizational culture, and systemic reform. Through case studies, collaborative inquiry, and the development of a capstone change initiative, students will learn to lead with clarity, courage, and compassion in the face of resistance, ambiguity, and competing demands.
