Remediation in Elementary Math

Catalog description

This course focuses on (1) the teacher’s knowledge of mathematical principles and remedial techniques fundamental to arithmetic and the psychological aspects of arithmetic learning; (2) the teacher’s competency in the use of concrete materials embodying mathematical principles and structures; (3) the teacher’s sensitivity and willingness to adapt instruction to experiential needs of students. Prerequisite: EDU 21501 ; EDU 31310 ; EDU 32100 or EDU 32200 .
