School Business Management

Catalog description
As part of the Educational Specialist (EdS) degree, this three-hour course focuses on the key aspects of business management within the context of education. Each student will complete a research project focusing on one of the topics related to school business management. Topics include the role of business management in education, the role of the principal as a business manager, governmental regulations and procedures, budget practices, scheduling and reporting techniques, negotiation techniques, the role of auxiliary services and the current state formula for funding the Local Education Agent.
