Catalog description

A rigorous treatment of the economics of the public sector. Emphasis will be placed on government expenditure and taxation. Possible topics include tax incidence, optimal taxation, dynamic analysis of fiscal policy, public goods, externalities, and public choice theory. Prerequisite: ECON 33040 ; MGMT 36033 with a C or better.
