Catalog description

This course familiarizes students with historical shifts in the American tradition in light of current issues. Concepts may include the law of unintended consequences, decentralism, the role of civil society, and others. Students will apply the concepts to current social issues. Note that course has one classroom meeting per week and a weekend-long conference in April. Prerequisite: ECON 23010 or ECON 23020 ; ENGL 17000 with a C or better.
