This course examines the development of economic theory from the Mercantilists to the present. It focuses on the major trends in the evolution of economic theory and tools. Possible roles of existing economic and social conditions and developments in other fields are examined. Prerequisite: ECON 23010 , ECON 23020 , or ECON 23030 ; ENGL 17000 with a C or better.
