Catalog description

This course will provide an introduction to the field of Machine Learning. Several machine learning algorithms will be discussed, including but not limited to: linear regression, logistic regression, linear discriminant analysis, naïve Bayes classifiers, support vector machines, K-nearest neighbors, K-means clustering, and tree-based models. This course will explore both theoretical and applied aspects of Machine Learning. Fee Information: Lab fee may be required. Prerequisite: CSC 14400 with a C or better; CSC 24400 or DSCI 30100 with a C or better; MTH 24100 or MTH 34100 with a C or better or MTH 14100 and MTH 24000 each with a C or better.
