Sports Reporting

Catalog description

This course will teach you sports information gathering and research, reporting, writing, and interviewing in keeping with industry standards. You will learn how to analyze sports events and issues, develop content with an eye toward all facets of sports production, and provide news specifically tailored to a sports audience across multiple platforms. It will involve attending athletic events during the semester and documenting the action for dissemination through journalistic and public relations channels. Prerequisite: COM 24200 .
