Advanced News Lab II

Catalog description

The course will provide experienced students with the opportunity to learn management aspects of journalism including reporting, writing, and editing in traditional and contemporary digital news-gathering formats. Using content management systems, social media, and mobile applications, students gather and produce digital news content for various media platforms. Students will need to complete at least 90 work hours during the term, document their experience. Prerequisite: COM 30181 , COM 30182 , or COM 30183 .
