Advanced Screenwriting

Catalog description

This course will be an advanced study of narrative screenwriting including the exploration of story, character, structure, and format. In crafting an expanded final script, the student will experience and examine each step of the writing process, from premise through development to treatment, first draft, and final submission. Students will also critically analyze acclaimed works from the writer’s point-of-view to inform the student’s own craft. Fee Information: Lab fee required.
