Catalog description

This advanced graduate seminar serves as the final preparatory stage for candidates in the completion phase of their thesis or terminal project. Students will work closely with their committee chair to refine the conceptual, technical, and critical aspects of their work while demonstrating sustained progress toward completion. Through guided meetings, peer critiques, and reflective writing, candidates will strengthen their research methodologies, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to articulate their scholarly or artistic vision. Emphasis is placed on iterative feedback, professional practice, and project management, with students responsible for setting milestones, maintaining documentation, and addressing theoretical, ethical, or practical challenges. By the end of the seminar, candidates will produce a substantial written or creative component that demonstrates readiness for final defense or exhibition, accompanied by a formal progress review with their committee chair. Prerequisite: CAH 56000 .
