GE-Communication The comprehensive introductory course introduces students to the foundational concepts and techniques of applied artificial intelligence (AI). Designed for diverse academic backgrounds, students will learn how to communicate with AI, both in terms of understanding how human-AI collaboration works and how to produce content. Through a combination of lectures, practical exercises, and case studies, students will develop a solid understanding of the core principles and applications of AI. The course will demystify AI and introduce non-specialists to topics such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, data analysis, and the design and evaluation of prompts. Students will gain hands-on experience with AI tools and frameworks, enabling them to apply their knowledge to real-world problem-solving scenarios. Prerequisite: ENGL 15000 .
