Catalog description

In this course, students will examine the epidemiology, clinical presentation and pathophysiology of orthopedic conditions that commonly affect the lower extremity. Through a hybrid course design that involves both lecture and lab-based activities, students will learn to develop a differential diagnosis, perform the most appropriate examination techniques, and formulate a diagnosis. Additional focus will be placed on injury prevention, predisposing factors for injury, biomechanics, and initial injury management. Prerequisite: AT 52000 .
