Catalog description

This course focuses on preparing students to be able to analyze and interpret financial statements and reports by exploring profitability and risk analysis based on economic characteristics of a firm’s business. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of using financial information for decision-making, forecasting, and analysis. Case studies are utilized to apply the tool of financial statement analysis to real companies in a variety of industries. Fee Information: Lab fee may be required. Prerequisite: ACCT 31020 or FIN 32000 with a C or better.
