Social Statistics

Catalog description

This course introduces fundamental statistical concepts and techniques used in social science research, including descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, inferential statistics, correlation, and regression analysis. Emphasis is placed on applying these methods to sociological questions and analyze real-world data. Students will develop critical skills to evaluate quantitative research and effectively communicate findings, highlighting the role of statistics in evidence-based decision-making and policy development. Prerequisite: 70 earned credits
