Catalog description

This introductory course examines the journey of an African value system, the Ubuntu Philosophy. This concept, popular in Africa and throughout the world, highlights the cultural and linguistic unity of Africa and its people. Students will analyze the concept "I am because we are" and discuss the implications of Ubuntu on politics, economics, leadership, ethical decision-making and the future.
