Catalog description

This course focuses on core accounting concepts as well as tools needed by managers to create the key financial statements that reflect an organization’s financial health. Selected topics includes, determining the difference between financial accounting and managerial accounting and their inter-relationship, understanding accounting cycle, analyzing financial statements, evaluating decision making tools for cost-volume-profit analysis, capital budgeting for investments, and time value of money. Course emphasis will be given to the application of concepts and decision tools for managerial decision-making.
