Catalog description

Modern computational algorithms for the numerical solution of a variety of applied mathematics problems are considered. Topics include numerical solution of polynomial and transcendental equations, acceleration of convergence, Lagrangian interpolation and least squares approximation, numerical differentiation and integration. Prerequisites: MAT 1022 with minimum grade C, CSC 1058
