Mathematical Modeling

Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the development and study of mathematical models. It is designed in such a way that students from other disciplines will find it useful as a summary of modern mathematical methods, and mathematics majors will benefit from applications of mathematics to real life problems. Undergraduate students from the Natural and Social Sciences will find most of the material accessible because the prerequisite is basic calculus. Prerequisite: MAT 1020 or MAT 1021, minimum grade C
