Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to a variety of current issues and controversies related to the delivery of healthcare services. As future allied health professionals, students will also learn their roles and responsibilities to ensure the integration of healthcare services. The history and an analysis of the U.S. health care delivery system will be explored to understand the current issues and trends. The changing roles of the components of the system as well as technical, economic, political, and social forces affecting change will be discussed. Prerequisite: HSC 3080
