Catalog description

This course is designed to expand students' worldviews and explore cultural diversity and ethics among health-care client relationships. Students will first examine their personal inherent biases and topics not limited to stereotypes, discrimination, generalizations, and racism. Students will examine cultural similarities and differences that influence health status by studying various ethno-cultural groups. Students will review the importance of legal frameworks and ethical responsibilities for health care professions. Prerequisite: HSC 1030
