Catalog description

This course is a research-intensive course that marks the culmination of history majors’ educational experience at Lincoln University, bringing together all the research and writing skills they have acquired in previous courses. With the guidance of the professor students select a topic of historical significance, read the relevant primary and secondary source research, and compose an essay of 25-30 pages that shares the results of their research and situates their interpretations within the existing historiography of their chosen area of study. In addition to submitting the final paper, students will present their findings orally at the end of the semester. Prerequisite: HIS 4001
