Ancient World History I

Catalog description

This first in a series of two courses is designed to introduce and orientate students to World History from a beginning to the late 15th century AD. This survey course is intended to expose students to cultures, and civilizations around the world including the Nile River Valley, Mesopotamia, ancient China, West Africa and select civilizations in the Americas. While the subject matter is expansive, this course emphasizes the basic elements of the field of History, utilizing basic text.
