Research Methods in Mass Communication

Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to quantitative and qualitative methodologies of mass communication research, with emphasis on the research process, research design, and methods of data collection. It will contribute to a broader foundation in Mass Communication and Journalism by exposing students to techniques of data gathering and measurement, including sampling, interviewing, content analysis, critical analysis, and conducting surveys.
