General Chemistry II /CHE 1004L Gen. Chemistry II Lab

Catalog description

This course is required for all science division majors. It is a prerequisite to all upper level chemistry courses. The material includes the behavior of gases and solutions; chemical kinetics; chemical equilibria; chemistry of acids and bases; precipitation reactions; entropy and free energy; electron transfer reactions; and thermochemistry. Three hours lecture, one hour recitation, and one three hour laboratory per week are required. Prerequisite: CHE 1003. Corequisites: CHE 1004L, MAT 1011
