This course, in combination with General Biology II, is designed to provide a foundation for continued study in Biology. This course covers basic chemistry, cell structure and function, mitosis and meiosis, basic genetics, and molecular biology. The lab exercises are designed to complement the lecture material. Prerequisite: MAT 1001. Corequisite: BIO 1003L
