Catalog description

This course provides A comprehensive study of athletic injuries affecting the lower extremities including the hip, thigh, knee, lower leg, ankle, and foot. Students will explore the mechanisms of injury, risk factors, and prevention strategies based on evidence-based practice. A significant focus is placed on emergency action planning with the practical applications of assessment, immediate care, and rehabilitative techniques for a variety of common lower body injuries. A 20-hour clinical observation is required for this course.
