Catalog description
This course provides an overview of the history and theory of law enforcement, policing, and society in black and brown communities and provides trauma informed approaches to policing as it pertains to these communities. Emphasis will be placed on the role of law enforcement as crime control agents in policing communities of color and applications of trauma informed approaches in relation to safety and situational awareness.
