Catalog description

Focuses on working successfully in an educational setting. Emphasis on consultation with other professionals in a learning community. Engagement in a collaborative classroom/department/school data analysis process. Strategies for reflecting on teaching practices to refine their own instructional process in order to promote the growth and learning of students. Participants in collaborative curriculum and staff development meetings at their school site. Identifies and understands the use of an array of professional learning opportunities including those offered by educator preparation programs, school districts, professional associations, and/or other opportunities for improving student learning. Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with his/her coooperating teacher and supervisor/or instructor to estabish relationship in the school, district and community. Completion of the MoPTA is a part of this course, the test fee is attached to enrollment.
