A lecture based course designed to give non-science majors an introduction to the basic biological concepts based in the context of contemporary issues in biology. Course emphasizes living systems at various levels, including cell biology, genetics, nutrition, evolution and human influence on the biosphere by exploring the scientific process through current issues relevant to students' lives. MOTR BIOL 100, transfer guaranteed.
