Catalog description
An introductory studio course designed to acquaint students with the history, terminology, and processes involved in ceramic pottery. The course introduces the student to ceramic hand construction techniques with a major emphasis on the coil methods of construction, and the basic use of the potter's wheel. Lectures, discussions, demonstrations, class presentation, videos, collaboration, problem-solving, and critiques are the means of learning.
