Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth study of non-surgical spinal decompression and Traction Decompression Therapy (TDC) in collaboration with Disc Centers of America (DCoA). Students will explore the biomechanical, neurological, and physiological foundations of disc injury and repair, with emphasis on evidence-based, non-invasive treatment strategies. The course integrates clinical reasoning and case management principles to prepare future chiropractors to deliver high-level patient outcomes through non-surgical spinal decompression. Through the lecture setting, and case discussions, students will gain the knowledge and confidence to apply decompression and TDC protocols ethically, effectively, and in alignment with chiropractic philosophy. Emphasis is placed on clinical assessment, patient communication, and integration within chiropractic care.
