Catalog description

This course provides students with content related to human growth and development to have a better perspective on mental health and the impact on patient care. The course will also provide students with descriptions of various aspects of mental health according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) with added content on standards of care and treatment concepts that are consistent with research. The course will cover common signs and symptoms in patients to consider while providing Chiropractic care and/or the need for appropriate professional referrals.
